Edgebrook Equestrian Center is the culmination of the design effort and equine knowledge of owners, Sayer and Dustin Townsend.  Designed and built for the ease and flow of the person and the comfort and health of the horse, EEC also has flair and beauty.

Our Philosophy:
Because this is not only our business, but also our home, we would like to maintain a fun family atmosphere where equine lovers, such as ourselves, can meet, relax, and train together.  Problems can only be addressed by talking about them.  Positive people make a positive atmosphere and a positive atmosphere makes for a much happier and fun time.  Please help us to be sure and keep the laughter and smiles abundant.

Owners:
Sayer Townsend
graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelors in Animal Science.  While there she competed on the Texas A&M Women’s Equestrian Team against schools like Oklahoma State University.  Sayer grew up amidst the equine industry Owners: Sayer & Dustinshowing several different types of horses.  She is excited to share her knowledge and to build a strong future for the equine industry.

Dustin Townsend
is a graduate of Texas A&M University where he received his Masters in Landscape Architecture.  It is his passion for design and attention to detail that aided in the fabulous design and layout of EEC.  Dustin grew up around horses, barebacking around the arena.  As a youngster, he had the job of de-spooking the new lesson horses.  His parents had a passion for Arabians.  To this day, Dustin’s favorite riding style is bareback.

Instructors:
Kristen "Cookie" Marcus has been a riding instructor since 1999. First certified through CHA, and more recently through ARIA, she has countless hours in an arena with riders. She is certified in both English and Western riding. Cookie has an avid interest in all disciplines of riding and doesn't hesitate to try something new. She is dedicated to safety, yet strives to make each lesson fun, informative and challenging.

Ashely Thourot has been riding her entire life.  Ashley ThourotThough she still loves to ride, train young horses and compete, she also loves to share her passion and knowledge with others by teaching riding lessons.  She is ARIA certified in Huntseat, Eventing and Stable Management. Ashley is currently working to complete her Bachelors in Equine Science.  Ashley strives to maintain a safe, fun learning environment for both the horse and rider, and enjoys teaching hobby riders as well as those who want to get serious and compete.
